PROJECT

Inland Northwest

Avista Utilities

Avista Utilities.

Project Summary

Avista is an energy utility providing power to more than 400,000 customers throughout Washington and Idaho. Over 40% of Avista’s power generation comes from hydropower, primarily from six dams on the Spokane River and two on the Clark Fork River in Idaho. Power City has over 60 years of history with Avista in all of these dams, upgrading Avista’s generation capacity and ability to bring this hydropower to their customers. In addition to our work in the dams, Power City was selected to upgrade the Kettle Falls Generating Station which burns wood waste from nearby sawmills to produce 53 megawatts of electricity while removing 99.9% of the particulates from the atmosphere.
